If larger, it would be a suitable container for a tree mallow, perhaps - Lavatera

Two for Colin, the large one had to be used as lock down prevented a garden centre visit. The small one was to see if I could drill a hole in glazed pot. With help from forum members it was fine. Cheers

How's the drilling doing?
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

Drilling went fine ,first time. Tina, all plants came through the winter in fine form thank you. A freind and I were coming up to the National, and the plan was to see if we could visit your collection the same time. Covid 19 saw the end of that idea lol. Perhaps next time. Take care.

Re: Nice pots- with plants (No clay/plastic)
Eric I've never really had difficulty with drilling into the bottom of all sorts of containers and I think I've only had 4 or 5 failures over many years. I tried a mug once but the bottom was way too thick for my drill bit to go through so I gave up. Only about 4 pots have cracked during the drilling. I've drilled into around 20 teapots very easily.Eric Williams wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 2:08 pm Two for Colin, the large one had to be used as lock down prevented a garden centre visit. The only two containers I have plants in without holes drilled into them are family heirlooms at least 80 years old: a potty and a large brass jam pan

I think the pot has become a bit irrelevant with this one
