Hi Trevor,
Yep, I remember that plant, and I was wondering what happened to the shrub next to it! it disappeared completely!
I think Copiapoa longistaminea is one of the nicest Copiapoa species!
Cheers,
Marlon.

You can also find our Brad Ed in the latest Bradleya on p.122, in a group photo of (mostly) African aloeologists. (Sounds an excellent initiative, Colin: any chance of it being extended to Haworthia, do you think?)

Here I am a couple of years back near Alicante, Spain, collecting seeds from a wild population of Chamaerops humilis. After just about ripping my arms to pieces, I found that most had been predated. Managed to germinate two 'though.

Hi Lindsey,
Glad you were able to pick me out from the aloe crowd.
That was an excellent meeting and my first visit to Pretoria.
I personally wouldn't touch
Haworthia taxonomy with a barge pole - it's nearly as messy and messed up as cactus taxonomy.

Me and my lady wife Pauline (we'd only been married 9 days!) at Disney's Magic Kingdom, Florida last November. We got married out there and will be out there again this November celebrating our first anniversary with Breakfast with Mickey no less! Mickey will be 80 on 16th Nov so we'll be helping him to celebrate his own little milestone! Er, yes, we're Disney fans! I'm Mickey mad!

This is me trying to hand-pollinate a flowering Stapeliad (Orbea rangeana).

Here's a photo of the new girl with her Agave Shidigera (I think). Do the flower spikes usually grow this tall? If so I am going to need a higher greenhouse.

Taken the winter before last, practicing my other hobby. For the musically minded I'm playing a BbMaj7 chord in a Gm Jazz Blues progression.
