So it's a Gastrolea? my gaster/aloe thingy description was quite apt then.(:D

What does it say on the label? G.rawlinsonii x Aloe..... perhaps? and any chance of a better pic when you have time?
Especially interested in Mesembs. small Aloes and South African miniatures and bulbs.

Interesting choice of Aloe! - both howmannii and wildii are grass Aloes from the Chimanimani range in the eastern highlands of Zimbabwe.
Please keep us posted on their progress!

It ie Eriospermum dregei judging by the leaf - mine is flowering now - very scented. Gordon Rowley did an article on it way back in the journal.

Hi Aloenut

The Euphorbia is E Knuthii, seems to grow quite a lumpy root. I vaguely remember getting told to keep chopping the top growth off but as it encourages root growth but I'm not sure I could do it for that reason.

No parentage, just gasteroaloe and WONDER.

you will need to ask Colin as they are for him, just haven't got to the OU yet.

Hi Chris
Thank you for the ID, Can you give me some cultivation tips- ie when to water, full sun etc.

Hi Tina,

Thats not the one I'm looking at. I could read the label in your pic and I already have this. The one I mean is in the same shot at the back left against the wall.

Hi Tina,

It was fun meeting you.
The eriospermum is E. dregei: wintergrowing tuber.
Don't be too anxious when it looses its leaves next spring.
It will come back next year or the year after.
It is one of my new plants, or actually two new ones :woho:

Good selection there Tina. Looks like your trip was well worthwhile.
Hardly any cacti either which left more for me :ban:

Some nice plants there Tina, especially the caudexs (caudices?), nice and clean.

Not sure what they call that big ugly/odd plant over there, but down here it's called the penis plant. So I guess if you plant it out, it'll be a "free willy" :D

You are just too BAD:lolbt:

Hi Tom
Yes it was really nice meeting you, just sorry I had shopping frenzy & didn't chat as much as I should have.
Next yr it will be different I guess as it won't have the novelty value but I make no promises.

We have already booked our places for ELk & I just need to send off the deposit, Baz has been checking out ferries.
After the rain & not much car booting we can't decide if we should arrive later next visit.
