Not exactly the 'Rose of Texas' I was looking for, but even regular L. verruculosa has interesting flowers. quite small though.

I'm hoping the little grey ones will have pinker flowers. Failing that, its back to the drawing board.

Lots of Lithops competing for attention. Even L. optica has buds (and an Argyroderma too!), a very early start to the season. Fingers crossed some sun over the next few days will keep things moving.

Have I started something?
Looking good though! I assume you will be cross pollinating these little beauties. It might be that they are all sharing a secret......
....yes, that ellusive red flower could be hiding in each one of them as a recessive gene!
BTW nice collection too!
Especially interested in Mesembs. small Aloes and South African miniatures and bulbs.

Woohoo Ian great to see your Lithopsery!
Could call 'em Timperley Cream or Yellow Rose of Texas, but don't tell Old King Cole anyway

Ever hopeful, trying to grow plants from arid sunny climates in the UK!
Lithops, Haworthia, Adromischus, other south African succulents including Ceropegia and some Crassula.

Brings a glow to my heart seeing a bench put to such a good use. Forcasters say the weekend might see the return of some sun:ban:

I built that bench just for Lithops although they don't quite all fit on it Other plants are allowed on the lower tier.

maybe a good use of bench space, but as much as I love Lithops, I can't help but feel it's a waste of greenhouse! All that space above and below going to waste. A bit 2 dimensional....The same area of plants would fit more reasonably into a large cold frame.
Perhaps we really need someone to discover a Lithops tree or shrub that we can grow alongside them to justify their position with all that head room.

Lovely plants, Ian, but to someone like me (who needs all the clues he can get) there seems to be a frightening lack of labels. Do you have a secret code on the pots?
