Not as "perfect" as yours Rogan but this is my attempt from my own seed.

I know people say springbokvlakensis are slow but these are equally as slow if not slower. It's interesting how some mcmurtryi like yours have concave leaves and some are convex like Rogans, I have both forms.

Re: Picture perfect
Nice picture of your 'tanned' specimen Bill - really beautiful.
If you look closely at my picture you'll see that one specimen, bottom-right, is starting to proliferate - is this something to be expected with this species when it reaches maturity? Hopefully I'll have some 'young uns' to give away sometime soon. Can you believe it, I gave some seedlings away once to a tortoise keeper to try as food for his pets - never again will I be THAT stupid!

Re: Picture perfect
Great to see photos of these springboks but no-one has answered my question re flowering time! Phil's 9-year-old has an "asparagus tip"... which month does that happen?
Ever hopeful, trying to grow plants from arid sunny climates in the UK!
Lithops, Haworthia, Adromischus, other south African succulents including Ceropegia and some Crassula.

"but no-one has answered my question re flowering time!"
My apologies Lindsey, yes they do flower in spring (August to October for us). Most of my Haworthias are in bloom now with H. springbokvlakensis just starting to send up spikes. Hopefully I'll be able to set some seed this year if I remember to do some pollinating.
