I was going to suggest Doug's plant for the Haworthia truncata until Vic stated otherwise. I have admired this plant for many years. I don't normally grow "big pans" of Haworthias preferring smaller plants however, I could make an exception here !!
Just to confirm it is Dougs' I posted a pic of the same plant on this forum at our branch show in 2007 http://www.bcss.org.uk/forum/read.php?1 ... #msg-57480>
And for comparison I have re-posted it here again.
Regarding the Bevs Wonder Bill yes shade has a BIG effect on the plant. I never realsied this until I saw Joyces' plant (the one shown in this thread) compared with mine. Since we moved home I noticed mine has lost a lot of is tuberculation/whiteness which surprisingly is down to more light !!!!
