Roger asked me how my Othonna was, so I took a photo today. Got it at the Sept' club meet, from the speaker whose name evades me, Len will know. The leaves like to face what little sun there is at this time of year. Its in a 2 inch pot.

Hi Andy
It would have been Bill Morris who sold you that Othonna. Did you buy it for Karen's Veggie Tunnel? Apparently they can turn into interesting plants.
Your free gift looks (to me) like one of the Ophthalmophyllum section, but it might be more distinctive once you've let some of the air out.
Next month's speaker is Eddie Harris, so there should be a good few mesembs on show.

I think you may be right again Len, I'll go and see if I can find a valve on it.

Could even be a form of C.lithopsoides. But as Ian says, overwatered and also could do with more light.
What colour flower was it?

I'm tempted to say C. lydiae, but with lots of ?s: wait until it got its shape back under better conditions.
