Given the range of colours amongst the Trichocerei it wasn't surprising to find a white flowered plant here as well. Note the Gymnocalyciums here as well. G. saglionis I imagine.

There were some interesting plants on the other side of the road as well. Mike and Jacques were quick to explore.

I particularly liked this yellow flowered Trichocereus. A yellow fowered form of Trichocereus huascha this time I think.

There were also some large plants of Gymnocalycium saglionis on this side of the road. Mike's boot is providing a good size marker.

A group shot from the slightly higher ground.

Davids' yellow flowered Trichocereus is on the rocks to the left.
Opuntia sulphurea is everywhere.

And the Trichocereus from above. I wrote down T. candicans for it but I do seem to have them confused in my notes.

This is one of the Gymnocalycium sagionis I was climbing towards in Davids' shot. It seemed to be growing out of pure granite.

I must say I have trouble allocating names to the various Trichocerei in that area Mike. Yes Vic I certainly could do with a bit of that sunshine right now. I've just looked out into my back garden and there is a lot of snow.
