Looks like maybe a young decipiens? Difficult to say without any prompts like provenance, something included for scale etc as young agaves are hard to ID.

I think you are spot on, Paul! Agave decipiens is my bet too. Long concave leaves dark green in colour, small teeth along the leaf's margins, sharp dark spine at the tip, offseting a lot when young. It can grow huge, and if the lower leaves are removed it can form a small trunk. Until this last week I had a big plant of it in my parent's front garden, but it was becoming so massive that I have been asked by my parents to remove it. It is a shame I did not have a camera handy at the time to take a picture of the plant before I cut it down. But it had plenty of offsets at the base, which I left to grow again.
