Cristi welcome. That looks like a very big collection that you have. I also enjoyed the photos of some of your beautiful healthy plants. What sort of potting medium do you use on your cacti?

The soil mix that i use is according to genus. For most plants is a mix of gritt(30%), crushed rocks and some fine flour like minerla soil(30%), crushed brick(10%), volcanic tuf(10%) and leaf mold(about 20%). For Ario, Sclero etc. the same thing, but no leaf mold. I collect most of things from mountaines near by and brick that i use is made from natural clay, burned so it does not disolve into water.
I am lucky to have a great family; in 2 houses in the same big yard live form my kids 2 and 4 years....me and my wife, my parents and my grand father of 89 years old that gives my kids chocolate, so they visit him al day long :)

:) Hello!
I heat using metan gas and radiators. During winter the thermostate is set at 7 celsius during night time and 13 celsius during day time. Many days are sunny and then temperature is about 20 celsius inside ( and could be -10 outside). I should have 2 separate compartiments because i have plants that require different conditions from Pilosocereus and Melocactus to Pediocactus, Escobarias.... my pedios and scleros stayed in unheated compartiment and they had down to -16 celsius during night time and have no problem.Toumeya papyracantha has flower buds now.
here some more spring fotos

Hey Cristian, Where exactly are you in Romania? Are there any other cactus collections near you? Because I'm from Slovenia and if it's not to far maybe our society could come visit you and some other collections.

Hello Sandi, I live 13km away from Cluj-Napoca in Transilvania region,on E60 route, about 150km from hungarian border. They are some other collections in this area. The biggest are in south Roumania and in Constanta-near Black Sea, so a little far from my place. But i am sure you will find interesting the collections from this area.
I will be happy to receive your visit.:mex:
