Hello!

Post by Jamesh »

My name is James, and I live and work near Cambridge with my partner Catherine.

We have windowsill collections of about 25 succulents and cacti; these are distributed in south, west and east facing windows according to their lighting requirements, which I have to confess is quite a challenge, especially with all this gloomy summer weather. Most are small; but growing! They include Haworthia sp, Mammillaria sp, Crassula sp, Euphorbia sp and some randoms, including Rebutia muscula, Ferocactus histrix. We also have a small incubator with some seedlings coming on, which is great fun:-)

This is a fairly new interest for us, prompted by the gift of a Crassula ovata cutting from a colleague at work. This has opened our eyes to the fascinating and beautiful world of cacti and succulents, so here we are!

Welcome to the forum James. With 25 cacti & succulents and seedlings coming along, you'll soon run out of windows!

Hi James and welcome. I'm afraid a greenhouse is next on the list.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.
