Another new National Collection

Post by Paul D »

I just heard today that my collection of Aylostera, Rebutia and Weingartia has been accepted for National Collection status. Many thanks to all the many of you who have helped with this.
The door's always open to any BCSS people if anyone should venture this far north.

Excellent! How have you been getting along with the plants you got in July? I had a bit of re-rooting to do with mine.

Ah... haha... hope this doesn't descend into trouble...
I'm using Hentzschel & Augustin (2008) which includes all the Sulcos in Weingartia, and Mosti & Papini (2011) for Aylostera and Rebutia.
@Phil yes I had quite a lot of work to do with those- I didn't include those ones in the application. There are some large specimens but I've had to propagate quite a lot of them- hopefully they will start to take off in the spring.
