A couple of different colours. First some yellow...
Petals looking a little bedraggled .... it's been a long wet winter for Faucaria multidens. Looks a little like a dragon's jaws with a jet of flame spurting out (vivid imagination helpful at this point).
And a mix of red & green - very tactile plant this one, Echeveria pulvinata 'Ruby'
The flower stalk at the back is slowly growing, in anticipation of spring.

I will just sneak in another, before morning comes. Another Echeveria, E halbingeri sanchez-mejoradae, it says on the label but I have my doubts.
It's not in full winter colour yet, as it is not cold enough, last year it went completely dark red.

Great contest entries everyone! It just goes to show that Winter isn't necessarily the dullest season of them all. It's been long and hard to choose a winner from all these great pictures. Each one of them is worthy of a prize.
However! I have come to a decision and the winning picture is Christer Johansson's Lithops karasmontana v. lericheana. A great shot of a nicely grown plant. I love the warm, radiant colour of the plant. Well done Christer and well done everyone else!
Some other favourites: Ian's fuzzy Cono, Jim's Echeveria and Tina's Agave.
