Sussex Zone's mini-convention, the Derek Desborough Memorial Lectures, will be held on Sunday 26 April 2015 at Crawley Horticultural Society Hall, Ifield Avenue, Crawley, West Sussex, RH11 7AJ.

We have two excellent speakers this year. Ray Stephenson will coming all the way from Northumberland to give us two presentations, Succulents of Southern Morocco and A City, a Golf Course, a Garden, a Hill and a Mountain (an account of his visit to Joel Lode at Murcia), and John Pilbeam will be giving us a preview of his forthcoming new book with a talk on Baja California.

The event starts at 13.00 and tickets are available from me by PM, from Tony & Suzanne Mace or from Sussex Zone Branch Secretaries, priced at £8.00. As usual, there will be plenty of food included. There will also be the traditional raffle and quality plant sales by David Neville, Stuart Riley and members.

Sorry Derek, only found the PM earlier this evening (time spent on the computer is time not spent in the greenhouse!) and I have replied.

For the benefit of others, payment can be made by cheque, PayPal or on the door but please let me or the Maces know if you're planning to come so we can get the catering right.

Just a reminder that the Derek Desborough Memorial Lectures are now only one week away. Tickets have sold very well but there will be some available on the door (prior PM would be great for catering purposes).

We will also be launching the 2015 Zone Show schedule at the event.
