Do you use hair straighteners or curlers after the shampoo? :???:

I agree with Tony R. The right product is essential.

I use Turtle Wax on Gymnocalycium ferrarii, Colgate on Aloe 'Fang', Pledge on Ceropegia woodii and Mrs. Werewolf uses Persil on Notocactus stockingeri. Echinocereus triglochidiatus comes up a treat in the dishwasher, especially when it's in flower.

Many years ago, maybe 40 or more, a member of Exeter branch, I think his name was Charles made headlines in the local paper when he took an Oreocereus to the local hairdressers for a shampoo and blow dry before the Branch Show. The plant did look better for the clean up and suffered no ill effects I can remember.
