Hi my name is Kim and I live in Welwyn Garden. I am fascinated by succulents and have just had a conservatory built so can keep some more tender ones. The cacti are not such a good idea as I have young grandchildren so maybe in a few years. Hoping to pick up lots of tips and advice. Kim

Welcome to the forum Kim, lots of interesting posts on here. A conservatory is great news for you, careful the succulents do not get too hot in summer

Hi Kim, welcome to the forum.
The conservatory will be great for overwintering your plants, make sure they fit lots of opening vents to allow good air circulation in the warmer weather to help prevent high temperatures and scortching. Many succulents and cacti benifit from been outside in the summer, something else for you to experiment with as your collection grows.

I agree with Keith. Have as many opening large windows as you can from the beginning, plenty of good air circulation is vital.
