I am surprised that no-one has posted a photo of a Pilosocereus yet - I think the bluest of all cactus genera.
This is one of my favourite plants:

Here are a few shades of blue:
If it's winter here, it's summer in the southern hemisphere, just right for Puya
These are all great photos but I love the Puya and bird! Where was this taken?
Thanks,
Frank

In the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Frank; linked to Sydney Botanic Garden and about 30 miles inland from Sydney

I just can't work this one out. Is it a furry Coryphantha, or is it a Mammillaria with terminal botrytis? The latter fits the title better - but I hope it's not!

It was a Tephrocactus alexanderi 'geometricus' seedling.

Last time I was in B & Q, there were Phalaenopsis orchids with bright blue flowers. They're produced by watering a white flowered orchid with blue dye. Presumably it could work for Crassula ovata. Though Photoshop will be quicker.

Thanks to all for your contributions. Specially commended are the offerings of Puya bertoniana by Mike T, Paul in Essex's blown over greenhouse, Chris R for the snow covered mesem and Jim Mercer for his cheeky blue offering. However, the winner is Frank103 with his very blue Pilosocereus.
Over to you Frank for the February subject.
