This is mine, grown under austere and dry conditions.

Don,t really know correct way to grow these, but I follow the lithops regime. High mineral compost, terr cotta pot, water when wrinkled lol, dry as a bone in Winter. Cheers

I tend to spray mine about twice a month, every month of the year with unadulterated rainwater. It is in 50% cat litter and 50% mole-hill soil. Its flowers are about to break through.

This is my very old (25+ years) Lapidaria margaretae just starting to flower. Some of the leaves have damage from the heatwave recently.

May I just ask for a confirmation if this little fella here is a Lapidaria? I found it in a pot of a completely different succulent! Also, how should I look after him? I watered it recently and plan to wait until it starts shriveling, although I'm not sure if I would be able to notice anything as it's about 10 mm wide at the moment. (Apologies for not so great paint job on the pot!)

Nope, not a Lapidaria. Looks like a Conophytum? Could guess the species, but I'm more likely to be wrong than right.

Are you sure? Now, when I checked the thread on my PC (not a mobile at 2am with a dimmed and blue light screened screen) I think it looks exactly like the ones on MikeDom's photos below:

I would not rule out Argyroderma.

I did think Argyroderma too, I don't think it's a Lapidaria. Many mesembs look rather similar at that age, you really need to see more mature foliage to get a definite ID.
