January eNews

The January eNews is due for publication today (Saturday), a day later than normal on account of Christmas and some competing priorities. It will include two articles on seed raising, a piece on conservation, some cultivation advice and a few pretty pictures, as well as a major event launch.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to resolve the problem with some ISPs and malware programs treating eNews as spam. I am told the reasons for this are probably that the distribution is via a large mailing list (thousands of addresses) and the emails are not personalised, which is a combination sometimes used as a definition of spam by certain software. So, with apologies, please do check your spam folders if you would like to read it.

Yes, thanks Graham, it's there in spam. Some interesting and thought-provoking content. Excellent, congratulations.

Given the continuing problems here, why not post the enews to a downloadable place on the Society webspace, and in addition to sending an email advising members to check out the download include the link on both the Society website and post in the forum? Surely there has to be a way to do this right and reduce problems for all?

Excellent eNews. Does this come out every month? If so I must have missed it since joining in June18. V. Excited about the CactusWorld Live! event in September in Kent

Every issue comes to my inbox without any issues I'm pleased to say. For those experiencing problems, have you tried teaching your spam filter that the newsletter isn't spam?
Congrats to the production team for another excellent issue, very well done everyone.

Thanks Graham, a very interesting edition, I especially enjoyed Terry's well written article. Unfortunately it had again gone into 'junk', so I will try again to say that you are 'safe'!
