It is significant that the Small Opuntias group is the only one to have its own cactus subgroup of the greenhouse. This seems to me an anomaly (as does the Haworthia Soc similar situation re other succulents). I can see pros and cons but I think the hobby is fragile and dividing the groups up does not help. Just my view.

This was discussed a while ago. It seems certain interests held sway, but, IMO, these two subdivisions should be axed.
