Sussex Zone invites you to join them for The Derek Desborough Memorial Lectures on Sunday 19th April from 12:00 at Crawley Horticultural Society Hall, Ifield Avenue, Crawley RH11 7AJ.

This year we welcome Graham Charles, who will be speaking on Matucana in Habitat and Cultivation, and Alan Butler about Brookside Nursery in Spain: A Life in the Sun.

There will be plants for sale from Plantlife, C&V Cacti, Desert Plants UK and Xerofolia. A generous buffet and refreshments will be available during the afternoon plus your chance to try your luck with the raffle.

William's Cacti (Craig Barber) will now also be selling at the Convention as, of course, will Graham Charles!

Next year's event will take place on Sunday 9th May at Plumpton Village Hall, venue of the 2018 edition. More details to follow but two top speakers have been invited!

Graham Charles will now be giving two presentations at the Zone 12 Convention: Matucana in Habitat and Culture and Columnar Cacti of Peru.

Alan Butler will not now be appearing.

Regrettably, following HM Government's advice today on non-essential travel and social gatherings, there is no alternative but to cancel this year's Zone 12 Convention.

Suzanne Mace will be refunding ticket holders in the next day or two.

Next year's event is set for 9th May 2021, when Peter Berresford will present 'Flowering Mexico'. We will announce a further speaker in due course.
