Hi All,
This is a newish ariocarpus I have that is so flat on top, its seriously odd, anyone know if it has a cultivar name ?.
I do have a smaller plant that seems to grow the same so it's not dehydrated, its a shame its starting to offset at the eruptions look awful, might look nice once there is a good clump of offsets .

If it's smaller than it looks in the photo, maybe in a 6.5cm pot and is sitting on Pereskiopsis, that would explain it.

No it's bigger than it looks and in a 13cm pot, it may have a bit of graft left on the stump ( hence offsets but the growth is so flat.

Re: Ariocarpus 'pancake'
Tina, are you sure those are offsets coming? I think we need a close-up to be sure. That's if it's safe to approach. I think it's more suggestive of Alien than offsets.
