Hi all, over the years I have mostly used Chempack no 4 and 8 during the season. Would it be suitable to use Tomorite throughout season instead. Perhaps a comination of them all ? Thanks
ps does Tomorite have Boron in it ?

I'm not an expert .... but I have been told .... quite simply ..... in the absence of any other feed being available .... you can't beat it.
However, there will be at least one loud and vociferous opponent on this forum, who, despite Tomorite being used by one professional grower who I know well and respect immensely, will tell us all that we don't know what we are talking about, and our plants will instantly die, giving chapter and verse.
I ran out of feed and used it .... my plants seemed to like it.
Edit.
And yes this is a perennial which will be a discussion item .... for ever.

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Re: C/s feed
How much does a packet of Chempak cost these days in garden centres, please?
Wondering if it easier just to buy online rather than traipsing round the distant garden centres in the hope they've got some in stock.

Re: C/s feed
Thanks.
Is £6.50 ballpark for buying in the shops? Obviously the "free postage" isn't, so will add something to the cost of the actual item.

Re: C/s feed
Weirdly, on T&M's own webshop it is £9.99 each plus £5.99 postage minimum. Either they prefer people to buy from their official ebay outlet or someone messed up on the data input.

I use Garden Direct. It is from the people who developed Chempac before they sold the brand to T&M.
Very similar and cheaper.
There are a huge number of ideas about rates and formulations showing that, at least on the short term, it doesn't matter much what you use. Especially if you have soil in the mix. In the longer term, a good range of trace elements is good.

Re: C/s feed
I use 3 and 4 but if I run out I use tomato feed. No big deal.
I can usually get it at my garden centre anyway.
