I have included a picture of my Brachystelma collection in case you thought I only grew Hildewinteras. The Brachystelmas smell awful at present but the flowers are delightful.

again ................. ooooooooh ........ aaaaaah

Those are superb
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Thank you Mike. Have grown Brachystelmas for years in fact one year one of them had a seed pod and I grew a few from seed. Have not been able to get any new ones for several years.

Those Hildewinteras are simply superb, Sylvia. And well done with the Brachystelmas too, certainly not the easiest of plants to keep in the long term. I once grew B. barberae, which as you say has amazing flowers, but stank the greenhouse out with a disgusting smell which could perhaps be likened to a mix of chocolate and dog droppings.

I was lucky to get a few Riocreuxia seed this year, which are close to Brachystelma, so I am hoping good things will come of that.
