How are you preventing scorch during the next few days?

I'm using an old TV magazine in my tiny GH.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Ventilation is important, if those magazines blow away then you've got the ventilation right.

I’ve just covered some of mine with newspaper, and a light spray of water. I’ve had plants scorch in the past, so hopefully will avoid problems this week.

I lost a lot of conos due to scorch a few years ago so started putting a heavier whitewash on the glass but even that has been insufficient these past couple of years. So I pinned up voile (net curtain) last year and it certainly helped keep down the temperature with zero losses. But at the moment 3pm,my Inkbird WiFi job says it's 43.1 under the bench. Been here over 30 years and never known anything close to this. Last year got to 36. Windows and vents open, glass removed at the back, door open, damping down the path and 2 x 16" and 6 x 4" fans going full belt. I've taken all my plants down from the shelves to the floor. The plants are dry having not been watered for over a month. Can't do much more......just have to see what happens. Supposed to be hotter tomorrow.....

I've had my E horizonthalonius for years and it's always been very healthy, flowers etc but today I notice it's been badly scorched

I thought it was a 'full sun' cactus? Perhaps not

Think most of this year's seedlings are gone!
Damage assessment may take a few days!

Everything seems fine, in fact it felt cooler inside my greenhouse today than it did outside.
