M. schiedeana v. plumosa seedlings
They ended up flowering most of the winter in the seed tray- the time taken from sowing to flowering was almost exactly 12 months.
This picture was taken today.
Hopefully I can get them to set some seed...

I'm sure I have read that these do better when watered over the winter.
By the way, if you have a spare one, I'm looking to replace one I lost, so would be happy to do a swap if I have anything that interest you...

Hi Ralph
I'd be happy to send a spare plant out to you.
Probably best to wait until after the worst of the cold weather has passed?

They are looking great.
I have found them to need to be dried out in good time for winter, and that they flower unwatered. I suppose each grower and each greenhouse is different I keep mine at +5 deg. C and don't get a lot of winter sunshine.ralphrmartin wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 9:21 pm I'm sure I have read that these do better when watered over the winter...
