That's... way more than I expected. Thank you.

And this would be my mobile keyboard being (not so) funny and brain just skimming through the written message...

A shave is what it needs!

New lens for the extreme macro. Still trying to find the "right" number of stacks. May have erred too far on the side of caution since I came unstuck a few days ago. The standard macro shot was taken with a macro lens and camera I don't usually use for macro work .... just too lazy to change the camera over for the usual one and too lazy to do the calculations and swap the figures in the microprocessor unit .... made a guess .... again on the side of caution. But ...... it worked .... and I got a result .... unlike a few days ago.

Third time this Schlumbergera has flowered since I was given it in November, first time one bud flowers and the rest droopped of, second time it managed to open two before aborting the rest. I decided too move it and it has produced more buds with some fully open today, perhaps the remainder will manage to open this time

Well, this has been a difficult one to decide as there have been so may quality phototgraphs. Special mention has to go to Christian, MatDz, Edds and WoBo (excellent close-ups, WoBo). In the end I had to decide between el48tel for some terrific close-up photos of flower buds & his Matucana madisoniorum and Jim Mercer's Mammillaria perezdelarosae and Christmas cactus photos. The narrow winner is Jim Mercer for the sheer clarity of his photos, so over to you for May's competition, Jim.
