Post by MatDz »

Just sharing the news (to me at least):

https://www.rhs.org.uk/science/articles ... -peat-free

From the headline:
New £1m RHS research project to accelerate transition to peat-free

RHS appoints dedicated researcher to help the horticultural trade move over to sustainable growing media

I certainly missed it. Thanks for posting. My first question is whether people have used SylvaGrow products as the base for their cactus mixes. Looking at the desription, their John Innes inludes composed bark, so am concerned abput particle size, son;t want to be seiving every bag!

See Paul Doyle's excellent article in the latest Cactus World 41 (2) pp101-108 - his ingredients include Sylvagrow Ericaceous peat-free compost.
