Harry Mays RIP

I have just been informed by Harrys daughter Liz that her father has recently passed away.

The funeral service will take place at Carleton Crematorium, Stocks Road, Blackpool. FY6 7QS on Friday September 22nd 2023 @ 2.45 pm.

Family flowers only.

Charitable donations to Dementia UK, c/o the Funeral Director, Moons Funeral Service, Raikes Road, Gt. Eccleston, PR3 0YA.

I was one of the first subscribers to Alsterworthia International when I was the librarian for the San Diego Cactus and Succulent Society (approximately in the year 2000).. He was always very cordial in all our correspondence. RIP Harry

RIP Harry.
Harry had a good innings.
The first issue of Alsterworthia International was published in March 2001.

I remember Harry from the days he used to sell plants at the North West Mart , bought many rare and unusual species off him over the years.
