Swapping Michael Kießling clones

Post by Mike P »

Now we can no longer easily get hold of Michael Kiessling’s interesting plants I was wondering if anyone was interested in establishing who has which ones and who is willing to swap cuttings.

This is an excellent idea as it was very frustrating when he decided only to sell in Germany and Austria (correct me if i'm wrong) - he always had a very good list!

I bought a number of his plants before this and Brexit.

How would be the best way of publishing a list? Please keep it simple, I struggle with the tv remote and any PC issues are usually met with the response from my other half of 'its all done by fairy dust' - this keeps me happy!!
Varied collection of mostly cacti with some Agave and Aloes - space is always the problem!!

Hi Mike, sorry to take so long getting back on this one.
There are so many I decided to do one species at a time.
First off a very common species Cumulopuntia sphaerica.

MK 178 ( Michael's own ref )
RKH 59 ( Royston Hughes )
HS 622 ( fma. known as berteri )
HPT 117 (fma. known as crassicylindrica )
JES 94-17 ( fma known as kuehnrichiana )
CJH 152 ( fma known as mirus )
I hope to update this as we go along
All except RKH 59 were bought from Michael Kiessling.

Thanks Ray. I’ve been distracted by my wife being in hospital for the past two weeks so haven’t got very far.

Hope your wife gets better soon Mike.
I don't mind keeping a reference list when members posts here, then I can email it out to anyone needing the details of clones and who has them.
In time it could be broadened out to cover all small Opuntias.
