Aztekium growth

First two photos:
Aztekium valdezii, i keep them in the bags since i sowed them.~9 months old.
I dont have recent photos of them, photo is from 2nd August.

3rd,4th and 5th photos are Aztekium hintonii. They are roughly 9 months old. I kept them in the bags for about 3 months, later i took them out of the bag, since that time they have been growing in an open pot.

6th and 7th photos are also Aztekium ritteri.
I sowed them in 2019. It has been growing in an open pot since that date.

Last photo is Aztekium ritteri too.
First photo in the collage dates back to September 2020, last photo is November 2023.

Thank you all for your kind comments. They are slow growers but its nice to watch them how they grow. Now i wait for their flowers. :roll: :lol:

Did you see the recent zoom talk by Andrea Cattabriga – Slow Growing succulents, he was growing his aztekiums in gypsum like powdery rocks, I now have horticultural gypsum to add to my plants ( next year), I'm sure it can't make them any slower.

Although it took nearly a month (ordered 11-4, arrived 11-30), and A. ritteri was sent instead of the A. hintoni that was ordered, at least I received the coveted A. valdezii:

Considering that they were sent from the Ukraine, it's understandable. The growing instructions that were included were unusual, but a very nice touch (in English).

I'll report back on my success ratio this Spring.
