Ornithogalum / Albuca for ID

Post by ralphrmartin »

This plant popped up as a volunteer in some bulbs I have, and its a very robust plant. The most striking thing is that the long bracts on the flower spike make it look like an ear of wheat. The flower stem is 50cm+ tall. Can anyone name it for me please?

Its still in bud now, but if a picture of the flower is needed, I'll try to get one in due course (if I manage to catch it in time).
