Chinese National Botanic Garden in Beijing

Post by ralphrmartin »

Today I have been visiting the Chinese National Botanic Garden in Beijing, and amongst many other interesting plants (mainly Chinese), they have quite a few cactis and succulents. There is a selection of picture below, but some of the most impressive were some of the decent sized bottle trees they have in their glasshouses. Here is a selection of what I saw:

Impressive
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

That Brachychiton is quite impressive.

I assume the below is some species of Sansevieria?
