Post by Tina »

I think the pot might need replacing.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

The plant is awesome! And is that a TB Bonsai pot you've used?

Whenever I've asked about these medusoid euphorbias on facebook groups and elsewhere, I'm told they're difficult to tell apart at the best of times and hybridise readily with each other to complicate things further.

My first thought when I saw it was euphorbia pugniformis though, for what it's worth.
Growing in Nottingham for the past 4 years and recently found my way to a Nottingham branch meeting. A few plants on a windowsill has very quickly turned into a greenhouse full!

Attempting to grow a range of turbinicarpus, coryphantha, escobaria and several other cactus genera. Tylecodons, pelargoniums and conophytums keep me occupied in the winter and an ever expanding number of gasteria live under the bench.

I think it looks amazing and the basket weave of the pot matches the trunk pattern almost exactly. Fabulous.

Tina, I think you've been taking tips from the presidential pots merchant

Hi all,
Thanks, its is super much better than the starggly plant I dragged home.

Yes its a TB bonsai pot ( love these), I got 3 for my birthday, I got to pick and my son got to pay  .

I can cheat as I'm friends with Rikus van Veldhuisen, the Euphorbia man so can send a photo and hope its not a mongrel, Euphorbia are a bit promiscuous.

You mean our Colin, of course he is 'The master' .

I find the flowers are a great help with identification because different growing condition can produce a radically different looking plant.
