This is John Carr's writing if that helps
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

The problem with the cheaper 'voice activated label writers' is that they gradually turn plants into new species. When labels are handwritten, Vasquez turns into Vasquaz and then somebody else copies it and changes another letter and gradually a new name emerges. If that sounds a little exaggerated, Turbinicarpus Klinkerianus did evolve into Turbinicarpus Lilinkeuiduus because of handwriting. That name has been around so long that a Google search treats it as a species even though it doesn't exist and is just the result of poor handwriting.

I'm not quite sure what point you are trying to make.
The handwriting is the example I gave in the hope that it would help the previous correspondent identify THEIR plant. The printed label is MY poor translation of the wording, lest the Sharpie ink fails, for MY collection. If my typing on my label machine is crap .... so be it.

I saw that photo on Facebook and made a note of it myself.

There's more experienced people on here than me with field numbers but this may help (or just confuse the issue more).

I had a good look but couldn't find that field number on any of my seed lists.
Most canigueralii will give you a flower colour like that. The non applanata kind.
PHA260 and HS71 would be more popular.

But the petals on that are very rounded.
Almost like a Rebutia.

That’s what the label says and it does look like other plants I have with that name.

I’ll have a look tomorrow and see what the other clones are that I have. They came from JP around 15-16 years ago when he stocked a lot of Sulcos. The one I posted is different and is a real winner for me.
