Amazing, they don't call it Sunny Southport for nothing! After years of complaints from me, my M. madisoniorum finally produced flowers last year, but no sign yet this year.

My M. Prolifera berries are going whitish almost as if they're decaying away or something is that bad or are they just at the end of their cycle or whatever ?

@IanW
i would pick them off just incase they are going rotten, they don't last forever anyway, you will soon get more.

Re: Fruit and Flowers
Those red berries on the Mammilaria prolifera are a fantastic shade. They look good enough to eat.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

Hehe I have to say I did wonder if they were edible, not that they're big enough to eat and as I say mine seem to be decaying now too!

Nice flowers Karen!
I'm sure someone on here mentioned that they did eat the Mamm berries...
