Re: Identification

Before downsizing any image, consider cropping it. Many images have a lot of irrelevant stuff that can be cut away to leave the largest rectangle with content of interest. Your pictures will look better, and be smaller file sizes. I also find cropping an image often solves the orientation issues we...

Re: A few Echinopsis flowers

Those look superb. So much better than my disappointment today when Schick Cabaret opened its first flower, only to be immediately downgraded to NoID status! 🤕🤬. Don’t you hate it when you buy a mislabelled hybrid!
If anyone has a good Cabaret pup, please message me…..

Re: Need help in Sussex

Hi Tim It takes effort, but eBay really can be a lucrative way to move plants on, but you need to offer postage. I’m in Lincolnshire and was certainly interested in several plants on this list, but wouldn’t be willing to dedicate a days driving and £80 of diesel to collect, whilst I would be willing...

Re: A little help/advice

Just as with everything else, there are so many different approaches to raising cactus seed. For 98% of seed I do not use the baggy method (only for things like Strombocactus, and I have to confess to 0% success with the BCSS seed of that this year). I have a heated propagater with lighting and sow ...

Re: Echinocereus Flowers

Echinocereus amoenus with an insane flower display for the size of plant. This is a 6cm pot and the plant itself can be hardly 2cm in diameter.

Re: Mediolobivia ‘leopygmaea’

It is lovely, but as Diane said, it’s not a prolific grower. I’ve had my grafted plant for about 4 years and the pups are still too small to risk trying to root down. It has produced more and more flowers each year though. Not quite as good as Dianes, but close. Mine came from Poland on a Hylocereus...

Re: ID please

It’s an Epiphyllum hybrid. But beyond that, who can say. There are literally thousands of hybrids and I have two from seed that have just flowered and look very similar to yours. But please don’t let the absence of a name put you off. If you like it, give it your own name. My flowered seedlings are ...
