Hi Anders, the plant is only about 4inches high, and the few leaves are all affected, The stem seems fine. Cheers.

Re: Strombocactus disciformis seedlings vs moss
Hi, I agree with Diane's comment of sprinkling tiny grit particles over the algae. This normally works for me,when using the plastic bag method of seed raising. Also I would keep the seedlings in the bags for quite a time, with frequent inspections. Cheers.

Re: To graft or not to graft
Hi all, slightly off topic, due to the fact that I want to de-graft many Yavia cryptocarpa. Do they grow well on their own roots, that is if I can manage to re-root them. Thanks

Hi Phil,I have just managed to get two cuttings to form roots after one month in water. They have both been potted up, so how large will they have to grow before they flower. Thanks

Re: Rebutia heliosa v.cajasensis (again)
Very nice looking plant. Is it in pot or a bowl?. Mine is in a 5.5inch bowl, and it seems to set the plant off well. Cheers

mamm.luethyi
Hi all, due to very low temps over the winter, my grafted double headed mamm. leuthii seemed to give up the ghost. I cut off the tops of both heads and found living tissue beneath. The grafting stock is also well. Do you think there may be a chance of new pups in the future. Thanks, Eric Williams S....

Re: Echinocereus cultivation
Hi all, I treat my Echinocereus like any normal cactus plant, and never have any problems over the years. Also my Echinocereus delaetii when it has finished flowering, does not show any scars due to the abundance of white hairs. Cheers,Eric Williams.
