Re: Aloe castilloniae

A smart plant, MIke.

You will remember there was an informative thread on this species last year too, started by Colin W.

Re: Tephrocactus articulatus v. oligacanthus

First time flowering of this one for me. Always very satisfying. As well as being one of the more freely-flowering forms of T. articulatus, you will find the floral remains (empty fruits) may be persistent for a long time (even years). Here is one of mine: T. articulatus free flowering form.jpg

They're beautiful Sylvia. Would you be able to put names to the photos so I know what to hopefully expect from some of mine this year or next?
The names are in the photo file name if you hover over each photo in turn.

Re: Identification

Why you are using Picture Resizer to make your photo so small I cannot imagine! You may be able to notice that my 'enlargement' of your 148x127 photo is actually 980x886 pixels, that is, it contains 48 times as many pixels. So if you post a picture of that size eg 980x886 pixels then people might be...

Re: Identification

A photo size of 148 x 127 pixels isn't very helpful for id purposes either, Geoff, are you using a pin-hole camera?!

Lovely plant, John, and it reminded me I did not thank you for the great and entertaining talk on Chile at last week's RV meeting.
