Hi Alan, In my experience some cacti seeds seem to be viable after a decade or more, Mamm. louisae and Cleisto. strausii are two that I sow regularly from old seed. Others of course, like Fraileas, seem to need to be very fresh. For the sake of a few extra pots of seed compost, it's always worth try...

Very sad to hear this. I visited Anne and Brian for tea on several occasions on my visits to South Wales Branch over the years and enjoyed seeing their collection and Brian's hand-crafted model railway rolloing stock.

I have two of these for quite some years now. I never managed to get them to flower. They are in an unheated greenhouse in winter. That should not prevent decent blooming in summer, I reckon.
