Walking past it every day, I've been keeping my eye on this: HuerniaHistrix1.JPG It just seemed to move so slowly that, yesterday, I took a closer look. It seems that my Huernia had been up to "hystrix" again for on the opposite side of the pot - and hidden from view - was this little bunc...

Could they be one of the many scale insects? Even dead ones can hang around.

Or even two bi?

Strange - there are 2 there for me:

Turbinicarpus AND Turbinicarpus spp. & hybrids - side by side on the same line.

The pot of lithops looks to me to be just that - a pot containing several (at least 3) different varieties of Lithops. The variation in size and orientation within the pot add to that impression. There's just too much variation for there to be just one plant.
Any thoughts anyone?
