Re: Cacti on TV - Rankin's Photography programme

Been really enjoying this series Chris. The cactus assignment was not the team's greatest success though. One had a poor concept well executed. The other had a great concept but poorly executed - I had expected, from his pitch, pretty much what the client had envisaged but did not get.

One of several plants grown from Doug and Vivi Rowland seed. Don't have any data. Photo from last year.

Thank you! I've been trying out macro on Euphorbia flowers for a while - a great way to appreciate them.

E. gorgonis according to the Silverhill catalogue. I struggle to tell many of the medusoids apart to be honest.

Very nice Christian. Hoping for first flowers on my polyacantha this year too - I am about 70% sure all the 'buds' are not just new pads!

Re: watering

Alan. Are your plants in a greenhouse? And if so, is your under-bench space being used? Re: Outdoor Cactus bed NW England.

This looks great Mark. Nice to see what you can achieve even in this part of the uk. I am not far from you and have thought about doing similar but have always been concerned about our high humidity even if I cover the plants. Am now making plans.....

They look like the ones I bought from the AGS a couple of years ago. If they are they are the ones very good and take pencil well.
They probably were the same Mike. The SRGC and AGS used to split the packs into bundles of 100 to sell on at shows. For certain the SRGC got them from Anglo-Scottish.

These are superb. Last for many years and easily writable on with pencil. The SRGC used to sell them at alpine shows.

The downside is the carriage costs!

That is lovely Tony! My only tunilla is very floriferous but a pillar-box red flower. I must try to get more.
