Re: Flowers this winter 2014-2015

Lovely flowers in this nasty time of the year. The plant has some similarities with E. taltalenis (The finer spination resembles Pyrrhocactus tenuis, Ritt.) But none of my so called p. tenuis flowered so far. Eriosyce taltalensis (Py. tenuis) FR1453 XQ 2010 September06 027.jpg Eriosyce taltalensis K...

Re: Flowers this winter 2014-2015

Hello Christer, the Eriosyce could be some sort of Thelocephala glabrescens/fulva.

One to compare with

Re: Eriosyce taltalensis FK 511

Great pictures , as always . Thanks Dave. I have a taltalensis that grows similar to the one from the Brendan Burke collection. It is from seeds collected by Andreas Wessner at Queb. San Ramon: Eriosyce taltalensis AW 275 (Py. taltalensis) 2010 Juni29 088_klein.jpg and another one that at least look...

Re: Eriosyce taltalensis FK 511

In the original sense it is Dave . But .... it has become whider these days.. and night become narrower some time too. Pyrrhocactus neohankeanus is nearer to the taltalensis (Hutch.) side of the spectrum than it is to paucicostata. taltalensis Eriosyce taltalensis WK733 (Nc. rupicola), Queb. Cachina...
