Re: Pest control
Its my hot greenhouse with Euphorbia & others, which gets a splash here & there, they don't like bone dry roots like the cactus house.

Re: Pest control
Possibly odd q, I applied compo bi 58. Its A systemic, should you wait a while before watering so its absorbed & spread thru the plant to hopefully kill the bugs or does watering a few days later make no difference or even help spread it around the plant or we haven't a clue.

Re: Variegated copiapoa
Hi
Can't explain it but love the colouring.
I have a variegated gymnocalycium where the yellow grows at a faster rate, could it be some chimera properties

I have had some nice pots from this chap, some larger upright ones, prices are more reasonable than some Bonsai people, he does sell on ebay sometimes

Re: Gerrardanthus lobatus & fruit, caudex
Oops, agreed, I do have gerradanthus.
Guess I was blinded by the cute fruit, although the caudex on this is has never grown, my other kedrostis africans are multi lobed so its probably not africans

Gerrardanthus lobatus & fruit, caudex
This was a lovely surprise late last year when I noticed my caudiciform Gerrardanthus lobatus had set fruit. It was quite unexpected as I have had this plant since 2012 from the late Warren Withers collection and this is its first fruiting so I've now got my fingers crossed there's some viable seed ...

Even pulling off old euphorbia leaves & then touching my lips causes me problems, with numb /tingly lips.

Re: Can anyone explain this columnar lophophora?
Love it, I didn't realise people are eating trich pachanoi & ario fissuratus now, all very odd.Perhaps they have been genetically modified to fit into a baguette? The new Subway Peyote, maybe. Easier to eat.
