We had a "bring a plant and pot it on" session in Manchester at the weekend. Surprising how many different variations on the compost mix. But the concensus is .... low on organic matter ie Ji component from about 15 to 30%. Similar amount for grit ... chicken or potting or granite. Rest is...

First cactus flower of the year

Had a few succulents perform their duty during the winter but this is the first cactus flower of this year.
Parodia comarapana.
Has been able some years to repeat flower in the late summer / early autumn.

Slightly off topic, but what a poor idea to block simple right click copying from a website (was just going to check the exact location of the mart).
