We forget that plants are individuals and like humans have their own natural lifespan even in habitat. Some individuals, even given optimum conditions, will live longer than others. The older less vigorous we get the more liable we are to die from what we would have shrugged off as youngsters. One ...

And then there's a bright object in the sky .....

Which has spurred a cactus into flower. Never mind ... cold and damp and back normal tomorrow to find rotting plants.

Better than some of the cactus. They've not liked this variable cold wet windy. Started to find poorly plants as I'm continuing with the repotting and sorting before the seed sowing (weekend?)
