Re: Pest control

I thought that might be the case. Thanks MatDz. :)

So in that case I may as well purchase a bottle of the Vine Weevil killer next and use it for both applications since that is 480ml and is actually a little cheaper than the 200ml bottle of the same stuff - Bug Clear Ultra 1!

Re: Pest control

Hi everyone, just to add to this topic... You can still buy the original Bug Clear Ultra containing acetamiprid in the 200ml concentrated form. I have both Bug Clear Ultra 1 and 2 in this form so I can make up when needed. On a separate note I was going to buy a bottle of the Bug Clear Ultra Vine We...

Re: Bridgewater RHS Manchester Event this weekend 19/20 August

Great morning at RHS Bridgewater. Good to meet people and lots of nice Cacti and succulents on offer. I found a couple of plants I had been searching for and the wife was happy with her succulents. 😁 It was already getting very busy with lots of interest so I’m sure it will be a great turnout 👍. Re: Using 100% Pumice

Interesting, I’ve often wondered about 100% lava rock, pumice. Can I ask please where are you buying your pumice from? It appears hard to get hold of in the UK.

Thanks,
Mark.

Re: Cactus from the E.U

I’m wondering how they know were you are traveling when you go through security? For all they know I could be traveling to another country within the EU. Unless they stop you and ask of course. I would expect security would be more strict on entry to the destination country but since there is no sec...

Re: Cactus from the E.U

Chance it  , I often bring back cuttings Thanks Tina, I’ve done that also  This time though I have no hold luggage and only the carry on bag so depends what security think of me carrying on some shop bought plants but let’s see. What’s the worst that can happen. A slap on the wrist and ...

Re: Cactus from the E.U

According to the current legislation you'd need a phytosanitary certificate and import notification (although I'm not sure how this works when bringing plants in personal luggage, someone waits on the airport?). That said, a plant in luggage doesn't look very dangerous to the "luggage scanning...

Re: Cactus from the E.U

I’m currently on holiday in Spain and wondering the same thing. There is a great looking Cactus nursery nearby and it would be amazing if I can buy a few plants and bring them back to the UK. Has anyone tried bringing any retail bought plants back in person since brexit and is it allowed? The .gov s...
