Mamm Hernandezii often flowers late, around November time, this is a much better time for it to flower. Nicely grown and not an 'easy' plant. Mine probably don't get enough light but interesting how two E. Heinrichiana can look so different:
Eriosyce heinrichiana FK465, and eriosyce in the foreground is a krausii ssp. malleolata FK773. All three just turned two years old.

Yeah...I bought the seeds after seeing the red throat in pictures on Llifle. Got the seeds from Gymnos: VoS 14-1544 Maybe the red will come through when they're a little older... A Edit: added a photo from yesterday, no sign of red. Hopefully the sun will be back tomorrow and i can have another loo...

Taken a little longer to flower than I was expecting but the Bank Holiday sun finally did the trick.

Although the sun's not been so great since it first opened, they keeping on going each day so hopefully will get a good show soon.
