Re: Couple of big ones

Very nice. I'm sat waiting for a Pegasus flower to fully open, it's just started.

What cultivar is your plant?

Re: Hardy Disocactus

Going to look amazing Mike. My cuttings from you are growing brilliantly in my office - debating whether to give them another year in the office before hanging them outside or to do it this year! Decisions, decisions lol!

Re: Getting the right colours in a picture.

Hi Ed, Have you seen the Ishihara test? I encountered it in a job description of all things and gave it a try, not that I’m colour blind myself! Sat for ages looking at them when I was screened as a kid. Everyone else just did about 10 and then left but the nurses took me all the way through their ...

That Firecracker has so many buds it looks like it's covered in little hairy tarantulas! Going to look incredible when they're all out!

The more the merrier Aiko! Cracking flowers, especially those Mammillaria. If I had to guess the Rebutia I'd say it looks like some I got as Aylostera albipilosa and the flower is just what I hope theirs' will look like. (I was hoping mine would be better covered with long soft spines than they are!)

Re: Getting the right colours in a picture.

At least I know it's not just me struggling Diane so that is a help! Thank you.

I'm going to take it home with me tonight (it's in my office) and try it outside with a black background over the weekend if there's a break in the weather!

Getting the right colours in a picture.

I have had a new Chamaelobivia open this morning, 'Lincoln Friend' (Thanks Andrew!). The colours on it are fantastic - (I am colour blind so these might be off!) A really bright pink tip to the petals fading to an orangey centre. However the photo looks like this! PXL_20210514_091717390.jpg This was...

Chamaelobivia 'Lincoln Stardust'
Another snuck out in May. Much more like a small Echinopsis (which I know they are considered now) than the more typical Chamaelobivia flower I think. They were just over 3" across at their best.
