I have rather a love hate relationship with Epiphyllums but their sins are forgiven when in flower.
I know what you mean Keith, they're not the most attractive when out of flower but they hang nicely in my office and the flowers make it all worthwhile!

Epiphyllum 'Pegasus'

It's 7" from petal (sepal?) tip to the other tip. So still a lot of size improvement as it can allegedly get closer to 12" across!

Cracking flower Ross. Mine has flowered this year but I missed it while I was at school! Hopefully it may flower again later this year.

I am readying a couple of plants for your first choice of topic Ernie, they just need a couple more weeks to look a bit better. As it happens I've moved them outside so they will fit the new choice too!

Re: Random Trichocereeae stuff

But then this one is a bit different. It's the second of five seedlings to flower, the first being fairly normal. There's a third in the offing that has a bit of a strange looking bud too. It's a pity that this one is so tiny! P5160013 copy.jpg I've had a few of mine do this this year. At first it ...

Very nice. I'm sat waiting for a Pegasus flower to fully open, it's just started.

What cultivar is your plant?

Going to look amazing Mike. My cuttings from you are growing brilliantly in my office - debating whether to give them another year in the office before hanging them outside or to do it this year! Decisions, decisions lol!

Re: Getting the right colours in a picture.

Hi Ed, Have you seen the Ishihara test? I encountered it in a job description of all things and gave it a try, not that I’m colour blind myself! Sat for ages looking at them when I was screened as a kid. Everyone else just did about 10 and then left but the nurses took me all the way through their ...

That Firecracker has so many buds it looks like it's covered in little hairy tarantulas! Going to look incredible when they're all out!
